Alistair: In Game
Endings
I
hope you like heroes, my lady, because your husband died like one." or "I'm
sorry but your husband has fallen in battle. You have my condolences.
You have various ending for Alistair, depending off how you played the game, if you hardened him, during the time, when you are able to do it. I’m trying to do most of them.
1. If you support Anora in the Landsmeet, as the sole queen, and don’t do the Dark ritual with Morrigan, bringing Alistair with you to battle the archdemon, he will die sacrificing himself; if the two are in romance, there is a possible goodbye dialogue that you can miss because you choose the wrong comment. If you leave him out of the party that goes against the archdemon, you will be the one to die.
2. If you support Anora in the Landsmeet, as the sole queen, BUT you do the Dark ritual with Morrigan, then, bringing or not bringing Alistair in the final battle changes nothing. Both of you survive, and with the choice of rebuilding Grey Wardens in Ferelden, he stays with you forever, leaving your side just to make a memorial for Duncan. (This is the choice I did with my elven mage)
3. If in Landsmeet you decide that he must be king and marry Anora, there are two things that can happen, if you are in romance with him. If he’s not hardened, he’ll broke up with you (because he’s a good boy), if he’s hardened, then he’ll have you as a mistress. If he is hardened he’ll rule together with the queen, and sometimes sneak out of the castle to go to the taverns, if not, he’ll leave most of the ruling to Anora.
4. If in Landsmeet, you decide to not kill Loghain, and take him to become a Warden, Alistair will leave the party, and become a drunk.
5. If you support Alistair in the Landsmeet, and he becomes a king, and you have a human noble female character, you can marry him, and become the queen. You make him do the Dark ritual with Morrigan, so neither of you dies. (This is the choice with my female human I started playing)
6. If Alistair has not been made king, and you sacrifice yourself against the archdemon, then he will stay with the Grey Wardens for some time, before leaving saying he doesn’t feel right anymore, he’ll do the memorial dedicated to Duncan and disappear.
7. If Alistair becomes king alone and is not hardened, he’ll rule with
common touch, and he’ll break up with you if there is romance, if he is
hardened, he’ll study governance, and keep you as a mistress.
