Alistair: In Game
Dragon Age II
First point is talking a little about Dragon Age 2, as the second game. The first thing to say is that in this installment the world you can travel is relatively smaller, and also it has to many loading screens. A thing that fans mostly hated is that you didn’t have the possibility of choosing the race, but you could just be a human male or female.
Anyway the whole story begins actually while the events of Origins are still going on, and sees the young Hawk and his/her family fleeing to Kirkwall from where the mother was from. Between various missions here is the start of the fall, the war between mages and templars starts here.
When it comes to Alistair, there is three different ways of meeting him, depending if you have synched your saves from Origins, and where did Alistair ended in that story.
1. If Alistair is a King
Let’s
face the fact, Kirkwall at that point is full of Ferelden refugees and this
means that King Alistair has to make a visit to the city, he is accompanied
by Bann Teagan. Hawk meets him, because he actually invites the champion to
an audience, and when Hawk actually arrives, it’s to see the dispute between
Alistair and Knight-Commander Meredith about mages and freedoms given to them.
After she leave, Alistair discusses with Hawk if he/she has any thoughts of
coming back to Ferelden, because the point is that Orlesian nobles are trying
to get some country’s territories, due the fact that Ferelden is weekend,
because of the recent Blight.
- Alistair says "Swooping is bad" when he first meets Morrigan in Dragon Age: Origins. This line reappears during the conversation with King Alistair if you choose to investigate and follow the dialogue path "What happened with Orlais?" -> "Why is that?"
- If you import from a save where Alistair and the Warden had a threesome with Isabela, she will have an amusing dialogue. If he didn't, he will simply state that she looks different, probably referring to her character design, to which she answers "Don't we all?".
- If you have Anders in your party, he will ask if Alistair was a Grey Warden, he'll reply, "That's the rumor" and then turn the same question to Anders, to which he replies, "That's the rumor." Alistair finishes with "Well, we certainly get around."
- If you import from a save in which Alistair is married to the female human noble, he will affectionately refer to her as "the old ball and chain." If you import from a save in which he is married to Anora but still has the female Warden as a mistress, Bann Teagan will make a remark to the effect that the Warden has returned to Ferelden, and Alistair will reply that they'd best not let the Queen know.

2. If Alistair is Grey Warden
It’s
a Grey Warden mission that brings him to Kirkwal, in the moment when the Second
Quinari invasion of Kirkwall is in full bloom. He and the champion meet each
other while this one is battling the Quinari, he actually gifts them an amulet
by the name of The Sacred Heart (while giving it, depends if he was romanced
by the warden and if she is dead or not – he says it was from his love,
if they weren’t in romance, he will state it’s was his friend’s).
After this he leaves Kirkwall, because Grey Wardens don’t need to be involved
in the Quinari-Kirkwall conflict.
3. If Alistair is a drunk
This
one is with Alistair abandoning the Grey Wardens, and you find him lamenting
his lost birthright in the Hanged Man. Bann Teagan gets him after few years
and takes him back to Ferelden. Somehow, looking at him drunk, it just made
me so said, he looks awful. Even when Alistair in that one gamplay did leave
me, I made it the way that this would never become an outcome for him. Look
at him, he is just so pitifull.
